He is a software architect and technologist with over 20 years of experience in enterprise software development. As a lead consultant for Think Big Analytics, he works with leading Fortune 500 customers to implement Big Data systems and next-generation NoSQL storage systems, using Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Cascading, and HBase to provide next-generation analytics and data Warehousing solutions. With extensive experience in Java Enterprise Development, Mr. Eklund's side passion is with programming language theory and applications, especially with dynamic languages (Smalltalk, Ruby, Lisp, Python) and functional languages (Erlang, Haskell, Scala, Clojure).
